Friends of PACC Pet Calendar Photo Contest: How Voting Works & How to Win

What is the Friends of PACC pet calendar photo contest and who runs it?

The Friends of PACC Pet Calendar Photo Contest is a photo contest held for the Friends of Pima Animal Care Center. The group describes the contest as a fundraiser, and its entries are pets photographed for a calendar. The contest runs on GoGo Photo Contest, and the voting page for the 2027 calendar lives at the GoGo address shown in the table below.

The contest sits in Arizona and is grouped with the best-of ballots in this guide. Its purpose is different from a city ballot, though. The calendar photos are the product, and the public vote decides the top entry, which earns the cover of the calendar.

When did voting open and close, and what is not published?

The voting period for the 2027 calendar started at 8:00 AM Pacific Time on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 and ended at 10:00 PM Pacific Time on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. The submissions period, which covers entering pet photos, opened on July 1, 2026 and closed on the same August 26 evening. The page is now marked as ended, so the dates above are the completed window.

The contest has been listed for the 2025 and 2026 editions. That makes the contest an annual fundraiser on the calendar cycle, and the 2027 calendar is the product of the most recent window.

The contest does not publish a category list, a cap on votes or a rule on eligibility in the text used here; confirm on the live ballot each cycle.

How does a supporter vote for a pet photo today?

Start from the calendar's listed address, scroll the entered photos and submit a vote on the entry you want to back. The voting period is the only time the vote is open, so the process is the same for every photo in the calendar field.

The weekly multipliers are the part of the mechanic that changes the count. The contest schedule lists 1.5x votes for the first week, 2x for the second and 3x for the third, each week counted from the Wednesday start. A supporter who wants to see how the schedule shapes the standings should check the entries at the start of each week.

Each entry carries its own running total, so a gain on a single photo does not move the others. Comparing entries is fairer within the same week than across weeks, because the multipliers change between weeks and a total built in the third week is not directly comparable with one built in the first.

How does this calendar contest sit beside the other Arizona ballots?

Arizona has several best-of ballots, and the nearest in this guide include the 2026 Best of Sedona Kudos contest, the 2026 Best of Verde Valley ballot and the 2026 Prescott Readers' Choice poll. Those are best-of contests tied to Arizona towns and regions, while this contest runs pet photographs for a calendar.

The clearest difference is the prize. The top entry here earns the cover of the 2027 calendar, a prize the nearby best-of pages do not describe. A searcher who wants a town-level vote should read the Sedona and Verde Valley pages, and a searcher who wants the pet calendar should keep to this page.

How can a supporter help a favorite pet get more votes?

The most useful help for a pet photo is to share the calendar page with the people who already follow the shelter and the photographer. Owners who enter a photo can also tell their own network when the window opens, which is the simplest way to reach supporters before the first week ends. Friends of the shelter, adoption families and local animal lovers are the audiences most likely to vote for a photo they recognize, and a simple message with the voting address does the job.

A supporter who wants paid help should first read what a purchase involves. The online votes page explains the options, and it is worth reading alongside the calendar's own rules before any money is spent. The get more votes online guide covers legitimate ways to build support, and no service can guarantee a top spot in a calendar field like this one.
