Best Of Delta County: How Voting Works & How to Win

What is Best Of Delta County and who runs it?

Best Of Delta County is a public online ballot that the Montrose Daily Press runs, a community newspaper that serves Montrose, Colorado. The program takes its name from Delta County, which is the home area the newspaper covers, and it sits with the best-of local polls rather than with sports. The voting link leads to a Second Street-hosted ballot, and the current round is best confirmed on the ballot itself.

The table below gathers the basic facts together so you can compare them with the other ballots on this site.

The page does not describe how the newspaper tallies its ballots, so the counting method is outside what the text used here can explain. Readers who want the newspaper's own explanation should look at its pages directly, and any question about how a tally is reported belongs with the organizer.

Which editions have run and when does the voting window fall?

The program is listed for editions in 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2025. The 2025 round is the only edition with a dated window on the live ballot, and that window ran from Sept. 11 to Sept. 19, 2025. Those are the only voting dates the page shows, so earlier editions have to be checked against the newspaper's own announcements.

The start of the run and any gaps between editions are not stated, so the calendar stays open beyond the years above. The organizer has not published a date for the next round; confirm on the live ballot each cycle.

How do you cast a vote on the live ballot today?

A supporter opens the Second Street ballot, finds the Best of Delta County entry for the current round, and picks from the nominees listed on that page. The live page does not describe a download, so the ballot works as an ordinary web page. Any sign-in step is not described either, so check the page for a login before voting.

Rules about how often a person may vote, and whether a voter must register, are absent from the text the organizer published, so the live page settles both questions. A supporter who wants the general approach to turning a link into votes can start with the get more votes online guide, then return to the live page for the round's own rules.

How does this ballot sit beside the other Colorado best-of polls?

The Best Of Delta County ballot belongs to a group of Colorado best-of programs that this site lists. Each of the neighbouring programs has its own publisher and platform, so the dates, nominees and rules of each live ballot have to be read on their own terms. The Delta County ballot stands apart mainly because its name is county-level and its publisher is a newspaper that serves Montrose.

A reader who wants a broader state-level ballot can compare this round with the Best of Denver page first, then return here for the Montrose round. Four checks make the comparison quick: who publishes the ballot, which platform hosts it, what the round's dates are, and whether the nominees are local to the reader's own town.

How can a supporter strengthen support for Best Of Delta County?

Support for a public online vote usually comes from people who already know the nominee. The most useful step is to send the live ballot link to those people and remind them while the round is open. The Second Street page is the address to share, and it keeps the wording of the round in a single place for everyone who opens it.

Paid help is a different matter. The organizer's stance on services that sell extra votes does not appear on the ballot page, so that gap needs a direct look at the live page before any decision. Before choosing that route, readers should review the legal guide first, because no service can promise anything about the result of this ballot.
