GlensFalls.com Fab Five Awards: How Voting Works & How to Win

What are the GlensFalls.com Fab Five Awards?

The GlensFalls.com Fab Five Awards is a public vote for Glens Falls region favorites, run by GlensFalls.com on its own website. The program was previously known as Glens Falls Region's Best, and the 2026 voting page carries the new name. Readers use the page to pick favorites in a set of categories rather than a single award.

The awards belong to the best-of family of ballots. They are not run by a sports body, a jury or a poll platform, and the ballot sits on a page of the regional guide's website at glensfalls.com/fab-five/voting. The site describes itself as the official guide to the Greater Glens Falls region, which makes the awards part of its regional listings.

Which editions of the Fab Five Awards are confirmed?

The confirmed editions are 2018, 2021 and 2026. The 2026 voting page is the current one, and it is titled for the 2026 awards. Editions between those years are not listed on the page, so the year-by-year history for them is not stated here.

The organizer's voting page names the 2026 categories but gives no start or end date for the vote. The next expected year is 2027, but no 2027 dates are published; confirm on the live ballot each cycle.

How does a reader vote in a award category?

A reader opens the voting page, browses the award categories, and casts a vote for a favorite in each category they choose to support. The page asks people to vote for their Glens Falls region favorites, and the 2026 list includes restaurants, outdoor activities and home services among its categories.

The page does not print a vote cap, a daily limit or an account requirement. The category count is not stated in full, so a reader cannot tell from the page how many categories will appear by the time the vote closes.

How do the Fab Five Awards sit beside the other New York ballots?

The Fab Five Awards are a regional guide's vote for the Glens Falls area, which sets them apart from the city-wide and borough-wide ballots in the New York listings. The closest sibling in name is the Best of Hudson Valley ballot, but it covers a different region and runs under a different organizer.

The other New York best-of ballots on this site include the Best of Brooklyn, the Best of Queens and the Best of Westchester. Each runs under a different organizer, so a reader should compare the organizer and the area before comparing the votes. The full set is on the New York contest index.

How can a supporter help a local business in this vote?

The most useful step is to tell people in the area about the category and link them to the exact voting page. Share the page address rather than only the award name, and remind people to read the category instructions before they vote.

Outside help is a separate matter. GlensFalls.com has not printed rules on paid votes, so the organizer's position is unknown. For outreach that works on any public vote, read the guide to getting more votes online. Paid services are covered on the buy votes online page, which describes the service only.
